OUR MISSION
To share knowledge from the Qur'an and Sunnah, through the authentic way of mainstream predecessors and scholars. Our goal is to teach our youth to be exemplary Muslims in their thoughts, words and deeds. We work to relay to them – through modeling – how to be good citizens, critical thinkers, seekers of knowledge, and how to respect themselves, their families, and the larger community. We wish for their lives to be abundant in love and flourishing in faith.

We strongly believe in the important status of every young person in our community – as individuals with valuable insights, members contributing to our fabric as a community, upcoming leaders and our present and future doers of good. We strive to listen to their needs and nurture their thought processes. With these underlying bases, we not only share religious knowledge and instill values, but we also learn from our young brothers and sisters every week.
GUIDING PRINCIPLES

DEDICATED INSTRUCTORS
This beautiful circle of knowledge – going from our volunteer teachers to their students, then the outside world, and back to the classroom through the experiences and insight of the students – is what keeps our instructors engaged and excited to come back and give freely of their time year after year.
Our Saturday school teachers rejoice in sharing stories, crafting activities, brainstorming, and reciting along with our youth. We happily take part in this noble cause for the pleasure of Allah (swt).

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Vision: Our new program has been carefully developed based on the Islamic needs of the children and feedback from parents. Al-Amaan Center's Curriculum Guidelines were designed in accordance with Al-Amaan's mission, derived from the Divine Guidance regarding the challenges of modern society.
Objective: We seek to teach our students to have a strong Muslim identity, inside and outside the Masjid, and develop a lasting connection to Allah (swt) - rooted in mercy and kindness, built on an authentic Islamic foundation.
Structure: The Weekend Islamic School is spread over Saturday and Sunday and integrated between Al-Hikmah Academy (Arabic and Qur'an), At-Tawheed School (Islamic Studies for Pre-K and Levels 1 to 3 | ages 4 - 15), and Safa Islamic Institute (ages 16+), all four under one umbrella.
CORE CURRICULUM
Our core curriculum focuses on these basic aspects of Islam:

1. Love of the Masjid - The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "There are seven whom Allah will shade in His Shade on the Day when there is no shade except His Shade: … a man whose heart is attached to the mosques…'" Children who grow up loving the masjid, they seek refuge in masjid in their adulthood.
2. Love of the Qur'an – Learning in Arabic and understanding - "We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an so you people may understand / reason" (Qur'an 12:2) – Our focus for each student to read Qur’an in Arabic Inhsa Allah.
3. Tools to establishing Salah – Rulings of Wudu' and Salah - The Prophet (pbuh) said: “The first thing for which a person will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection will be his Salah. If it is sound, he will be successful, and if it is lacking in any way, he will be doomed. If his obligatory Salah are lacking, the Lord will say: “Look and see whether My slave has any voluntary Salah which may be used to make up what is lacking in his obligatory Salah.” Then all his deeds will be examined and dealt with in the same way.’
