Laylat Al-Qadr: the night when we witnessed the greatness of Allah...

What an incredible night, subhan Allah, the likes of which we’ve never before experienced (or witnessed). Hundreds of men, women and children in `ibadah together, from Isha till Fajr.

Bottomless hearts, and pockets; tireless, orange-shirted volunteers (the best in the world!); patient mothers, with beautiful, understanding and (mostly!) cooperative children; dedicated youth; and a teary-eyed, weary-bodied congregation that lingered long after the salam of Fajr, hugging and crying, not wanting to let go.

A community that held together, rose up and united in the face of adversity, losing their home in the process. Rallying, and raising almost $800,000, mashaa Allah, for a unique center, the first of its kind in the Twin Cities.

We are so proud, so thankful - and so humbled - to be a part of you. May Allah swt protect and preserve you and yours, and grant you al-Firdous al-A`la inshaa Allah, ameen.

May Allah swt accept our fasts, our good deeds, our prayers, our duaa and our tears, our qiyam, make us from among the righteous, and grant us the honor and privilege of living to see another Ramadan, together, inshaa Allah, ameen.

Much love, Al-Amaan Center

p.s. tag yourselves and anyone you saw last night!
