Praise be to Allah and peace and blessings upon the Prophet (pbuh) We just got the news a little while ago, that the crescent moon was sighted in California, three witnesses have seen it among them Dr Ahmed Salam a professor of Astronomy and Sheikh Mohamed Al Fakih Imam of Masjid Orange County. In the same time news has been reported that the crescent moon was also sighted in Mali and Cote d’ivoire. Based on these news the first day of Ramadan is Wednesday
